Flying Field 

Club Introduction Club Officers Flying Field Membership Application

 

Dinneen Field, the WMAA Club field is operated under an agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.  The Westerville Model Aeronautics Association has provided ALL of the money and resources for the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of the radio controlled model flying site.

No tax dollars have been used for this facility.

Dinneen Field is located just north of Columbus 10 minutes off of Interstate 71.

The street address for the field is 6590 Africa Road

GPS coordinates are - Latitude N 40 degrees 11' 07" - Longitude W 82 degrees 57' 16".

Please Note:  72Mhz Channels 20 (72.190) and 21 (72.210) are prohibited from use at the field due to interference from TV broadcasts.

Below is a map of the general North Columbus, Ohio area.  The location of our field is indicated by the S in the blue square.

Directions:

Travel Interstate 71 North past the Interstate 270 north interchange to the Polaris exit.

Turn right (East) onto Polaris Parkway off of the Interstate exit.

Follow Polaris Parkway East to the Worthington Road intersection.

Turn Left (North) on Worthington Road to Africa Road intersection.

Turn left (West) on to Africa Road.

Follow Africa Road to a 4-way stop sign.

The cross street here is Lewis Center Road.

Continue straight through the  stop approximately 1/8 mile.  The WMAA flying site will be on the left (West) side of the road.  Look for the shelter and the wind sock.

Turn into the paved  parking lot and you are there.
